The Bicycle Association works hard to represent the interests of the industry and its members to Government to ensure the best business and legislative environment for cycling.
It has a programme of engagement with relevant politicians, All Party Groups, and Government Departments such as those for Health, Education and particularly Transport. We support the All Party Parliamentary Group for Cycling.
We actively engage with other relevant sectors and industries such as the Motorcycle Industry through a close partnership with the MCIA, rail through close association with ATOC, the Association of Train Operating Companies
On cycling policy we are a member of the UK Cycling Alliance, a lobbying group of cycling charities and NGOs and have a close relationship with Sustrans, CTC, British Cycling, and the London Cycling Campaign.
On business and trade, we are a member of CONEBI, the Confederation of European Bicycle Industries, the British Standards Institute (BSI) and sit on a number of standards and regulatory committees. Our members attend all the major trade shows around the world.
