Webinar: Using Retail Finance and Market Data to Grow Sales and Profit
June 02 / 2023 / 12:30 PM

Stock turns is a significant metric for retailers, and this webinar will explore two important aspects of getting this right. How can sales data ensure that the right bikes are arriving at the back door, in the right categories and at the right price points? Moving them out of the front door is then key, and we will explore the role that affordable consumer financing can play in the middle of a cost of living crisis.

Webinar – Lithium battery fires and the e-bike market: risks and response
April 28 / 2023 / 12:30 PM

With e-bikes, including e-cargo, a critical sector for the UK cycle industry we’ll examine the market risks arising from the growing issue of lithium battery fires, as tragic and fatal incidents regularly make the headlines. We’ll look at the concerning consequences for consumer perception and for e-bike access to premises, and consider the serious potential implications for the industry if regulatory authorities make a knee-jerk response. We’ll look at what the Bicycle Association is doing to ensure that doesn’t happen in the UK, and also explore how retailers can best respond – both to enhance their own battery safety practices and to reassure customers and local businesses of the safety of the products we sell.

With battery expert guests, and BA team presenters, the webinar will outline quick wins for businesses of all sizes and will include a Q&A session.

Webinar – Quick wins to improve diversity, equity and inclusion in your business March 31 / 2023 / 12:30 PM

The business case for diversity, equity and inclusion in the UK is ‘stronger than ever’, according to new research by McKinsey. Diverse businesses are more profitable; they recruit the best talent; make better decisions; have more motivated employees; and have a superior understanding of customers’ needs. Meanwhile, an Accenture study found that 41% of shoppers removed at least 10% of their business from a retailer for their lack of focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.

Join the BA’s lunchtime webinar on Fri 31st Mar to find out more about the BA’s new Diversity in Cycling project and gain practical tips on:

Recruiting and retaining diverse talent
Building an inclusive workplace culture
Growing sales and loyalty, by reaching out to diverse customer audiences

Co-hosted by Gemma Lloyd, Founder of WORK180, a leading advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion that helps organisations to raise their workplace standards, the webinar will outline quick wins for businesses of all sizes and will include a Q&A session.
