The Bicycle Association and the Motorcycle Industry Association have issued a joint press release to stress to UK suppliers that a recently published “White Paper” and article about EU type approval for electric mountain bikes changes nothing: UK suppliers still need to stick to the 250 W motor power and 25 km/h cut-off speeds for electric bikes, mountain or otherwise, so that their customers can use them legally in public as bicycles.
