Hövding joins the Bicycle Association

We are delighted that Hövding has recently joined the Bicycle Association. In their own words:

Hövding is the world’s first airbag for urban cyclists. Through the advanced sensors and unique algorithm Hövding detects the cyclist’s movement patterns and reacts and inflates in 0.1 second in case of an accident. The specialized airbag inflates to cover your head and fixates the neck to provide you with the best protection on the market, up to 8 times better than a traditional helmet.

The idea of a bicycle helmet with an airbag was born in 2005 by two Swedish students of Industrial Design. It took seven years to develop Hövding from a concept to a certified product. Today over 150 000 copies of Hövding have been sold, and it has kept more than 3 700 bicyclists safe in accidents.
