The 'Retailer Advocacy Fund' (formerly the Bike Hub levy) provides a framework for retailers to support the BA's advocacy programme, giving the retailer sector a real voice. Recognising this support and the key role retailers play in delivering cycling, the BA's Trade Network provides participating retailers with exclusive access to detailed market data, cutting edge retail finance and more, on terms normally only available to big business.

How does it work?
Both brand suppliers and retailers have a vital interest in the cycle market growing for us all, and the Trade Network enables all sides of the industry to add their distinct voices to lobbying Government to make this happen. What services are available to trade network members?
Three core services are available to Trade Network members, all designed to strengthen your business and put value back into your operation, in recognition of your advocacy support through the Retailer Advocacy Fund.
How to access the Trade Network Benefits
You can access the Trade Network benefits immediately if
a) you are supplied by one or more of Giant, Raleigh, Specialized and Trek (for the first phase of roll-out. Subsequently we hope to roll it out as widely as possible across the industry) and
b) you contribute to the Retail Advocacy Fund (formerly known as the Bike Hub Levy) through these suppliers and
c) you support the BA’s Market Data Service by agreeing to contribute your sales data (for retailers with turnover under £5 million, this entitles you to free access to detailed, accurate monthly data at regional and national levels).

Terms
In order to use or access the BA’s Trade Network Service you must be an authorised retailer of one or more of the following suppliers: Raleigh, Trek, Giant and/or Specialized (unless the BA authorises your use or access otherwise).
In order to use or access the BA’s Trade Network Service you must also provide and licence your Market Data in support of and for use in the BA's Market Data initiative (unless the BA authorises your use or access otherwise).
In order to use or access the BA’s Trade Network Service you must also be validated as a contributing retailer to the Retailer Advocacy Fund (which is administered by the BA) through one or more of the following suppliers: Raleigh, Trek, Giant and/or Specialized (unless the BA authorises your use or access otherwise).
The BA will seek to validate your contribution to such fund (through such suppliers) on a quarterly basis.
You agree to such validation being carried out by the BA through your suppliers’ particular Trade Network listing.
The BA reserves the right to remove a particular retailer from using or accessing the BA’s Trade Network Service and its related offers if such retailer’s Retailer Advocacy Fund contributions are not maintained.
You agree that the BA may contact you as a part of the provision of the BA’s Trade Network Service.
You agree that the BA may verify your eligibility to use and access the BA’s Trade Network Service offers with the provider(s) of such offers.
The BA shall not be liable to you for or in respect of any act or omission of any product or service provider that you have access to via the BA’s Trade Network Service.
The BA makes no representation, warranty, guarantee, promise, assurance or undertaking, whether express or implied, as to the standard, suitability, fitness for purpose or quality of any product or service provider (or related product or service) you have access to via the BA’s Trade Network Service.
You are responsible for the review of and acceptance (or otherwise) of any product or service you have access to via the BA’s Trade Network Service.
You are responsible for the review of and acceptance (or otherwise) of any terms and conditions, agreement and/or contract that applies to or in respect of any product or service provider (or related product or service) you have access to via the BA’s Trade Network Service.
