Cycle parking standards project: consultant appointed

October 28, 2020

The BA, Sustrans and the Cycle Rail Working Group are pleased to announce that transport consultancy PJA, with support from Transport Solutions and Bespoke, has been appointed to develop a new UK cycle parking standard following the recent invitation for expressions of interest.

PJA has a long history of working in the field of sustainable transport and cycling, with past work including the Manual for Streets, Manual for Streets 2, Active Travel Wales Design Guidance, Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans Guidance and most recently the guidance for local authorities on Cycle Infrastructure Design, LTN 1/20.

The cycle parking standards work will be led by PJA’s Associate Director, Adrian Lord.

A programme of stakeholder engagement to inform the detail drafting of the standard will begin shortly. To be kept informed about participation, any stakeholders who have not already been in touch are invited to email Adrian Lord on: [email protected]

The BA, Sustrans and the CRWG would like to thank all of the organisations who submitted expressions of interest for this project. We were pleased to have received a number of very high quality proposals.
